Scottish Parliamentary Campaign launch

“The Free Scotland Party wants decisions about issues in Scotland made by politicians in Scotland answerable only to voters in Scotland,” said Jim Fairlie, candidate for the Perth constituency and number one on the Free Scotland list for Mid Scotland and Fife region, at the launch of Free Scotland’s first election leaflet for the Scottish Parliamentary elections.

He continued, “Sadly, the SNP has failed the Independence movement. Nationalists used to trust them to carry Scotland to Independence but the SNP lost sight of the prize when they grafted on membership of the European Union to Independence.”

“Independence for Scotland is not about leaving one union to join an even bigger union. Where is the logic in getting free of London only to come under the control of Brussels? Independence for Scotland is about the restoration of Scottish sovereignty, dignity, self respect and self confidence.”

“The Free Scotland Party is offering something different to voters in Perth and Mid Scotland and Fife, something different from all the other parties standing because we say get out of the UK and the EU.”

The Free Scotland Party is launching its campaign for the Scottish Parliamentary elections this weekend (Saturday, 03/03/07) when Jim Fairlie, candidate for the Perth constituency and number one on the Free Scotland list for Mid Scotland and Fife region and campaign workers will be distributing their campaign literature outlining Free Scotland policy.
